New preset options for importing from Model

A new Layout tab has been added to Presets --> System.  This tab has some new features as well as previous presets that have been moved to this tab.

Presets existing in previous verstions:

  • Import layout girder loads check box

  • Show IT* file even if KT* file is present checkbox

  • Convert layout mono to family truss check box

  • Hold back jack end vertical web by:

New presets:

  • Default girder truss BC depth

Currently girder trusses always default to the same BC material as common trusses.  Girder trusses typically need a BC material deeper than the default material used for common trusses.  This preset allows girder trusses to open from layout with a preset default BC depth.   The default depth will display under the Board Width BC drop down on the main screen.

  • Minimum width for continuous bearing

This preset allows trusses from layout with bearings of a certain minimum width to open in Keytruss as a continuous bearing.  This value should not be less than 10 inches.

Bevels

Bevels are now added as piece selection criteria for single and double bevel cuts.

Country Porch Family

A new family has been added for country porches.

"Span" refers to the span of the truss including the porch.

"Pitch" refers to the slope coming from the LEFT HEEL and the middle TC segment.

"Porch Slope" refers to the slope coming from the RIGHT HEEL of the truss.

"Porch Width" refers to the assumed distance from the outside edge of the porch to the outside edge of the closest exterior wall.  It is NOT the pitch break horizontal offset.

KeyTruss Bug Fixes

  • Picklist by Lumber Size and Grade (Consolidated Picklist) is now sorted by
    • Lumber Species - ascending (alphabetically )
    • Lumber Grade - ascending
    • Width - Descending
    • Length - Descending
  • When the user answers YES to having the free node removed, the node and member are now deleted
  • Can now add moving point loads or change the moving point load criteria for Agricultural trusses
  • Fix a problem in sequential piece labeling where different species were consolidated an should not be consolidated
  • C4 output no longer contains previously created data
  • Fixed a problem where sliders sometimes came in as tapered
  • Previously, if a truss was loaded in layout for a narrower tribuatary width than what the standard width is, KeyTruss would attempt to remove the loading from the standard width by applying the load from the reduced width as an uplift in the standard live and dead cases.  The problem with this was that the ending load is a negative value, which translate to an an additional downforce instead of a reduction.  This problem has now been fixed.
  • Fixed a problem where reversing a web would resets all user defined materials.
  • Fixed a problem with 4-angle outputting incorrectly in the TCT saw output file
  •
