Established over a quarter century ago, Keymark has set the standard for software in the construction industry. Out of the basement of his Chicago home, Keith Dietzen wrote the original software system that automated cutting functions for truss manufacturers. Since its inception, Keymark has been the leading software innovator for the construction industry. Today, Keymark offers a variety of construction products and services, from whole house design programs to beam sizing and floor layout programs. Whether you’re an engineer, designer, builder, or material supplier, Keymark software is your tool to streamline your process and reduce costs.
Keymark is dedicated to a mission of improving the construction industry through the use of automation technology. In the construction industry, as in many others, day-to-day business involves a repetitious process of performing calculations and conveying information in determining how a structure will be built. Computer automation holds great potential to generate the required information more precisely and accurately in a cost-effective manner. In addition, these automation techniques allow the user to electronically represent and store this important information; thereby reducing the redundant description of the industry's product, the building structure, that now takes place.
It is Keymark's mission to use its computer technology and software development efforts to further these goals. We intend to accomplish these goals by automating the calculation process for the various sequential steps involved in the building process and then integrating these functions into a single continuous process.
The key manifestation of our intent is KeyBuild®. KeyBuild® starts with the software that has, in fact, automated and integrated the major functions that take place in specifying required framing materials for building structures. To assure success and quality control in information generation, Keymark is committed to a process that will include the creation and management of information by Keymark employees using KeyBuild® for specific projects. By sharing the resulting information and networking with specifiers, engineers, builders and suppliers in the construction industry, Keymark intends to help reduce industry redundancy and inefficiency.
In the process of achieving these goals, we intend to help our industry by developing powerful tools, provide benefit to our customers by helping them to use these tools, and better all Keymark employees by empowering them to realize their full career potential. This we hope to do as we conduct business in an honest, straightforward manner.
